Q. What type of Services do you provide?

Quality Health Services provides skilled and non-medical home health care services including Skilled Nursing, Therapies (physical, Occupational, Speech & IV), Pediatric care, Personal care, Medical Social Work and lots more. Q: What makes Quality Health Services different and unique from other home health care agencies?
A: We pride ourselves on being MD’s leading home health care agency providing quality care from the heart. We offer free one hour consultation at no cost to the patient. We have experienced and qualified professionals who know the true value of their work and love what they do in helping others tackle their daily activities. We perform thorough, painstaking and meticulous screening during our staff hiring/selection process. Our Staff are well trained and possess a wealth of experience and knowledge with a variety of patient health conditions and diagnoses. They are continuously trained and evaluated to ensure that utmost care is provided to our patients thereby giving our patients and their loved one(s) the peace of mind they deserve. We also offer the most cost-effective service plans/options.
Q: In what areas/counties are your services available?
A: Our Company is continuously expanding. Currently we are serving Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and County, Calvert County, Charles County, Howard County, Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and St Mary’s County, MD.
Q: How much does the service cost?
A: Quality Health Services goal is the quality care of our patients. For our private pay patients, We bill on an hourly or fixed rate basis. However, our billing method varies on a per patient basis depending on the patient’s needs. For instance, a patient that requires a 24 hour/live-in service will be billed differently from a patient requiring hourly care. The hours required to properly care for you or your loved one(s) will be determined at the initial assessment interview and reviewed thereby on an ongoing basis. For our insurance or medicaid patients, cost will be determined by these organizations/companies. Cost will vary depending on the level of care. For more details on our pricing, contact us now.
Q: Is there an initial deposit before services can be rendered?
A: For our private/self pay patients, there is usually an initial security deposit covering two weeks of service. The deposit is usually refunded to the patient once the patient and QHS' relationship ends, and all outstanding invoices/payments have been paid/collected. After the initial deposit, the patient and/or their loved one(s) will then be billed on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on the agreement. Payments are usually collected on Mondays for the previous week. For other payment options like third party insurance, medicaid waiver etc we will work with these companies/department to collect our payment.
Q: What is the minimum number of hours a day?
A: The minimum number of hours depends on the care needs of the patient which will be discussed at the initial assessment.
Q: How does home health care compare to assisted-living or nursing home?
A: Usually, our services cost much less than those of assisted-living facilities or nursing homes. We will always customize a care plan to suit the needs of each patient. Customizing our services to suit the needs of our patients on an individual basis ensures our patients and their loved one(s) are not paying for services they do not need or not rendered. Our patients can decide to sign up for as few or as many hours as they can afford. There are other benefits to our patients staying in the comfort of their homes including but not limited to faster healing, one on one service, care dedication, less infection, companionship and better coping.
Q: Do you provide care in nursing homes/hospitals and other facilities?
A: A: Yes. Our Staff can attend to your loved one(s) in hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, long term rehabilitation facilities, retirement homes/communities and other places. We will be anywhere you need us to be. The quality of care we provide does not end at the facility especially after the patients is discharged. Should the need arise, Quality Health Services' employees are available to transfer the same level of care to the comfort of the patient's home. Please contact us for more details.
Q: Why can’t I hire a home health care professional on my own instead of hiring Quality Health Services?
A: There are some challenges that may arise should you choose to hire your own caregiver, RN or other health professionals. Hiring a health professional on your own makes you an employer and you will be responsible for taxes, insurance fees, liability and many more. There are also some certifications and background checks that need to be verified before hiring any health professional. Hiring a health care professional is a rigorous and complicated process. For instance, we only hire employees who have at least one year experience in a hospital, private home or nursing home. In the absence of experience, we strive to ensure that the health care professional has the education, dedication, passion, drive and love to do the job. Our Staff must pass written tests and have clean background records and much more. Q: How does Quality Health Services select its employees?
A: We participate in job fairs, place advertisements on paper and internet. All of our staff are carefully interviewed and screened prior to becoming employees of Quality Health Services. The interview and screening process is intensive and rigorous to include but not limited to background checks, qualification verification, written tests and reference checks.
Q: Am I locked into a Long-term service contract with Quality Health Services?
A: At Quality Health Services our patients are not locked into any contract (long or short term contract). The level of quality care we provide speaks for itself. The length and type of care we provide depends on the care our patients require. We provide services from a few hours a day to 24 hours a day; a few days a week up to 7 days a week. We also provide care from a few weeks to many years. There is no limit to the care we provide, yet you and your loved one(s) are under no obligation to sign any service contract agreement. Q: How long is the wait time for services?
A: Quality Health Services' goal is for our staff to resume work within 24 hours but no more than 48 hours. In most cases, we often begin work the same day.
Q: Will I get the same staff every time?
A: It depends on the situation and/or the level and amount of care needed. For instance, a staff on a daily assignment will be replaced temporarily while on vacation or sick. Also if care is required 24 hours a day, there may be more than one staff assigned to work on shift basis. We value our patient's and their loved ones' privacy and will work with you to determine what works best for the patient.
Q: Can I meet the Quality Health Services' staff in advance?
A: Most certainly. Part of our commitment is to match the right staff with your personality and/or that of your loved one(s). It is important that our staff and patient work well together as this will promote and produce a more positive outcome for the patient.
